André Rozay, born in 1913, is one of the pioneers of the revival of ceramics in La Borne. He studied at the Ecole de Beaux-Arts in Bourges where he met Jean Lerat and arrived in La Borne in 1943 to work with his former friend. After the war, he worked in Alphonse Talbot’s studio, which he later took over. In 1962, he will create with other ceramists including Yves Mohy, the Amicale des Potiers de la Borne which will become the Association des Potiers de la Borne.
