Maurice Savin born October 17, 1894 in Moras. A graduate of the School of Decorative Arts in Paris, Maurice Savin was a painter, ceramicist, engraver, sculptor, illustrator, lithographer, furniture decorator, and painter of tapestries and stained glass. He has exhibited since 1920 at the Salon d’Automne. He practices ceramics at the Manufacture de Sèvres. It uses almost exclusively stanniferous earthenware of which it mounts the forms in the columbine. Maurice Savin does not limit himself to specific genres and does not hesitate to propose authentic works such as these famous ceramic table legs that he creates with Kohlmann for Jacques Adnet.
